A Letter from the President I hope this email finds you well and safe. Lupus Awareness Month has been a big success with so many of you sharing your efforts to increase lupus awareness. If you haven't yet, take a look at the Lupus Awareness Month page on our website here. And if you have photos and stories you'd like to share, please send them to mary@lupusil.org or lisa@lupusil.org. This year, LSI is hosting 3 Facebook Live events in honor of Lupus Awareness Month. Lisa Klaslo has already presented on Lupus & Resilience with Rev. Dr. Shirley Brummell and a Q&A with the Rush Lupus Clinic (you can watch both on our website here). We have one more coming up on May 30th - Resources for Lupus Patients presented by our own Mari Gonzalez! You can register for the event here. LSI is only able to provide Facebook Live events thanks to the success of our Illinois Lupus Walks. Illinois Lupus Walks are a great way to raise awareness about lupus and support LSI's mission. We are looking forward to the team t-shirt contests, DJ Rick, and the entire lupus community coming together! We look forward to seeing you there. There's still time to join a Lupus Walk committee, too (contact lisa@lupusil.org). We are still looking for your memories! As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary, we want to hear from you! take a moment to share your recollections with us online here or post it on social media using #LSI50! In 50 years, we've come so far. Together, we've made a difference. Mary |
