Lupus Warrior LaShon Gurrola presents on Heart Health Awareness and Lupus. LaShon provides factual information about lupus and cardiovascular disease, while sharing her own experiences. You can register here. On February 20th, we hosted the Cutaneous Lupus Educational Webinar presented by Dr. Paras Vakharia. Dr. Vakharia is a dermatologist and pharmacist at Northwestern Medicine. He is part of the rheumatology-dermatology team at Northwestern, with a focus on lupus and other autoimmune diseases. Dr. Vakharia in depth presentation included a Q&A session. If you missed the presentation, you can watch it here. Be sure to purchase tickets for the LSI Associate Board’s Soccer Match Event. Tickets have a face value of $45 but the AB is selling them for $36. Find out more and purchase your tickets here. Finally, I want to highlight our Bank of America Chicago Marathon team. We have 45 runners who are taking on the task of running 26.2 miles to raise funds and awareness about lupus.
