BILL EVANS & PATTI ENGSTROM Although you don’t have lupus, how has the lupus diagnosis changed your life?
Greatly as I was 9 years old when my Oldest sister at 12 was diagnosed initially the Doctors told my mother they couldn’t do anything and go home and enjoy your daughter however my mother & Aunt did not take that for an answered and searched and found a doctor who was able to diagnose it and begin treatment in 1960. She passed away from a complication with Lupus at age 69. |

| Get Ready to Educate! Lupus Awareness Month is the time of year when the lupus community takes time to educate their families, workplaces and neighborhoods about lupus. Education can be as modest as sending an email to your friends and family about lupus to organizing a Lupus Awareness Day at your office. We encourage you to get creative as you raise awareness about this often misunderstood disease. Please let us know what you’re up to – you may inspire others in the lupus community to take action! She's walking 100 miles for the Virtual run WALK ride for Lupus event! 100 miles and she is doing it all on the AB Team and to increase awareness about lupus and support the LSI. Thank you, Beth, for setting an great goal for all of us! & the school where Beth teaches, Mary, Seat of Wisdom are selling lemon ice for lupus in May. All the money raised will be donated to LSI! Update: Beth has walked 43 miles of her 100 mile goal as of 5/18! |
