A Letter from the President

Dear Friend,

Fall is in full swing! I hope this email finds you well and ready for the holidays - beginning next week with Thanksgiving!

And even though we're a week early, we want to start giving thanks to all of you, including:

Support Group Leaders who give so much of themselves and go out of their way to support the lupus community.

Medical Advisory Board members, who are present at our educational events, answer questions and care so much about the lupus community.

Associate Board members who take their energy and enthusiasm and raise funds and awareness for the lupus community.

Health Fair volunteers who spend hours answering questions and handing out information about lupus in their communities.

Office volunteers who show up week in and week out and help with everything from data entry to general office support.

And that's just a few of the individuals we are grateful for.  There are also Illinois Lupus walkers, sponsors, speakers, and donors.

There is so much to be grateful for.  We couldn't achieve our mission without you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Together, we make lives better.

 Mary Dollear

Fatigue & Lupus

A major problem for people living with lupus is fatigue – chronic debilitating fatigue that significantly decreases quality of life and increases the risk of work disability.

How does someone manage fatigue?  Finding strategies that work for you and for lupus patients in general is the purpose of the Lupus Intervention Fatigue Trial (LIFT).
