November 2020

A Letter from the President

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving!  The holidays are here and we are looking forward to our upcoming educational event on December 5, 2020.  The RUSH Lupus Clinic & LSI Educational Event is the last educational event of the calendar year! We hope you'll be able to join us for this outstanding event (Click here to register).

We are only able to provide these opportunities thanks to our supporters.  The holidays and the end of the year sees a lot of opportunities to support LSI.  GivingTuesday is December 1, 2020 and our Board of Directors is matching donations 2 to 1 to celebrate this day.  Our goal is to raise $4,000 that day - the board will match with $8,000 making the total support for LSI is $12,000!

You can donate to GivingTuesday today!

Another way to give is to sign up for AmazonSmile - select LSI as your charity and a percentage of all of your purchases made on Amazon will be donated to LSI! Click here for more.

And don't forget about the LSI Associate Board's upcoming restaurant fundraising events.  On December 4, 2020 there's Kuma's Corner in Chicago (Click here for more on the Kuma's Corner fundraiser) and MOD Pizza in Naperville on December 6, 2020 (click here for more on the MOD Pizza fundraiser).

Together we make a difference.

Mary Dollear

Donations for GivingTuesday are matched 2 to 1 by LSI's Board of Directors!  Turn your $50 donation into a $150 to support our mission in Illinois!

Fatigue & Lupus

A major problem for people living with lupus is fatigue – chronic debilitating fatigue that significantly decreases quality of life and increases the risk of work disability.

How does someone manage fatigue?  Finding strategies that work for you and for lupus patients in general is the purpose of the Lupus Intervention Fatigue Trial (LIFT).
