A Letter from the President

I hope this email finds you well and safe.

It's a year later this month that the COVID-19 quarantine began.  There are now vaccines available.  If you weren't able to catch our webinar on February 23rd, you can still watch the entire "Understanding Lupus and the COVID-19 Vaccines" here.

We still have guaranteed spots for the upcoming Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle and Chicago Marathon.

You can see below for more information or email mary@lupusil.org.

Both of these events are fun and inspiring ways to increase awareness about lupus.  Our teams always consist of warm and wonderful people on a mission to increase lupus awareness and raise funds for the LSI.

We also have sad news to share.  Meaghan Fox was a member of the LSI's Assoicate Board, a former Lupus Walk Ambassador and lupus champion.  We are sorry to report that Meagan passed away last month at the tender age of 23.  Find out more about Meaghan and share your memories about her here.

In her short life, Meaghan made lupus awareness a priority.  We were honored to know her and we continue working toward our common goal.

Together we make a difference.

Fatigue & Lupus

A major problem for people living with lupus is fatigue – chronic debilitating fatigue that significantly decreases quality of life and increases the risk of work disability.

How does someone manage fatigue?  Finding strategies that work for you and for lupus patients in general is the purpose of the Lupus Intervention Fatigue Trial (LIFT).
