Together We Make A Difference
Since 2001, the Lupus Society of Illinois has hosted walks to promote lupus awareness and support our mission in Illinois. Today we invite you to join us again!
COVID-19 has made getting together challenging and we think we've come up with a great solution!
The 2021 Lupus Walks will include a Virtual Lupus Walk for the entire month of May AND a LIVE Lupus Walk (if possible) on August 14, 2021 at the Naperville Riverwalk.
The LIVE Lupus Walk will be LIVE STREAMED on August 14, 2021, NO MATTER WHAT!
Register on this page and you are eligible to win incentive prizes and enter contests with awesome prizes! You will be able to participate in the Virtual Lupus Walk and the Illinois Lupus Walk on August 14, 2021!
A FEW IDEAS (creativity welcome!)
- Walk every day throughout May!
- Walk 1 mile for every $25 you raise!
- Start a team and invite every team member to record steps for the entire month. Whoever has the most steps at the end of the month wins a prize!
- Don't like to walk? Ride your bike every day or week during May.
- Prefer running? Track your distance and let your supporters know!

Creating Your Fundraiser is Easy
Register as a Fundraiser and create your simple Personal Fundraising page an, if you choose, create a Team Fundraising page to participate with your friends and family as a group!
Brainstorm how you would like to recognize the Virtual Lupus Walk! Walk every day, walk a mile for every $25, bike hundreds of miles - get creative! Use the Lupus Walk as a personal fundraising campaign!
Share your Fundraiser with your friends, family, and colleagues! Remember, you can invite people to register, donate or both! Everyone registered is welcome to participate in the Live Lupus Walk on August 14, 2021 (if possible).

About Lupus Society of Illinois
OUR MISSION
LSI promotes lupus awareness and complements the work of health care professionals by providing personalized resources for the lupus community while supporting research.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
With the help of informed volunteers, lupus medical experts, and committed and caring supporters, we support research and conduct education programs so everyone affected by lupus can have an improved quality of life; provide information to ensure people with lupus and their families get answers and health professionals know about new means to diagnose and manage the disease; and conduct activities to increase awareness of lupus, rally public support for those who are affected by lupus, and advocate on their behalf.
